HOW I WORK

Regulated Intuitive Processing Therapy™

A somatic, nervous system-informed approach to healing, integration, and self-trust.

My therapeutic framework that honors nervous system safety, the body’s wisdom, the soul’s voice, and the nonlinear nature of transformation.

The Story Behind Regulated Intuitive Processing Therapy™

RIPT (Regulated Intuitive Processing Therapy™) was born from both my professional experience and my own personal journey.

Throughout my personal journey in therapy, I found myself drawn to the spaces where traditional approaches didn't always have answers. The places where delving into the pain felt messy, nonlinear, and deeply human.

As a therapist, I wanted a way of working that honored nervous system safety, the body’s wisdom and the soul’s voice…and of course the reality that transformation doesn't happen in a straight line.

It didn’t exist. So I created it. And RIPT became that framework.

In our work together, healing is approached as a process of integration. We slow down enough to notice what has been carried in the body, in relationships, and in the deeper layers of experience. Through curiosity, compassion, and presence, you begin to develop a different relationship with your thoughts, emotions, memories, and inner world so that more choice, clarity, and steadiness become possible.

So, what is it?

In the spirit of transparency, I want to be upfront with you: I have a complicated relationship with the word healing. Not because I don’t believe in it, but because the way we talk about it often misses the truth. Healing rarely moves in a straight line or arrives as a final destination. It unfolds over time as people reconnect with themselves, their stories, and the parts of their lives that have shaped them.

Safety and the nervous system come first.

Our work begins by helping your nervous system experience a sense of safety and stability. When the body feels supported, it becomes easier to notice sensations, emotions, and memories without becoming overwhelmed or shutting down. Together we pay attention to how your nervous system moves through activation, regulation, and rest, learning how to respond to those shifts with awareness and care. Over time, this builds the capacity to stay present with your experience and respond to life with greater steadiness and flexibility. (Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Psychology)

The relationship is part of the treatment.

The relationship we build together becomes an important part of the healing process. I aim to offer a steady and authentic presence where your experiences can be explored openly and without judgment. Within that relationship, we begin to notice patterns that may also appear in other parts of your life and how you approach closeness, protection, vulnerability, and trust. Experiencing safety and honesty within a supportive therapeutic relationship can gradually reshape how connection feels in the body and mind. (Attachment Theory, Relational Theory, Psychodynamic Theory)

The Foundations of Regulated Intuitive Processing Therapy™

All parts of you are welcome here.

People often carry different inner experiences that hold conflicting emotions, beliefs, and survival strategies. Some parts may be protective, others vulnerable, others driven to keep everything together. In our work, we learn to recognize and understand these different inner voices and responses. When these experiences are approached with curiosity and compassion, they begin to organize in a way that allows for greater internal balance, self-awareness, and self-leadership. (Psychosynthesis)

Meaning matters, including the symbolic and spiritual.

Many people notice moments of intuition, symbolic imagery, dreams, synchronicities, or spiritual reflection as they deepen their awareness of themselves. These experiences can offer insight into emotional patterns, identity, and personal meaning. In therapy, we may explore these moments thoughtfully and reflectively, using them as material for understanding the psyche and its deeper layers. This process can strengthen self-trust, expand perspective, and support a sense of connection to something larger than immediate struggle. (Transpersonal Psychology, Jungian Psychology)

Speaking the truth of your experience.

Healing often involves finding language for experiences that have been held silently for a long time. When people are able to speak openly about their stories, emotions, and inner conflicts, space opens for reflection and meaning-making. Together we examine the experiences that shaped you, honoring the strength it took to survive them while also exploring how they continue to influence your life today. Through this process many people discover greater authenticity, clarity about their values, and a stronger sense of direction in how they want to live. (Existential-Humanistic Theory)

Your story didn’t start with you.

Personal experiences are shaped by the families, cultures, and environments we grow up in. Patterns of coping, beliefs about safety and belonging, and even emotional responses can be influenced by experiences that occurred long before the present moment. In therapy, we explore how these broader histories may live within your current life, allowing you to understand them with greater clarity and compassion. From that understanding, new choices and healthier relational patterns can begin to emerge. (Trauma-Informed Practice, Intergenerational Theory)
